Talley’s Group Limited is an Aotearoa NZ operated and owned corporation. The company is made up of 3 divisions, the dairy, vegetable and seafood divisions, all of them producing one hundred percent NZ Aotearoa produced goods. The business was established in nineteen thirty six by Ivan P Talijancich.
The oldest fishing ship that Talleys possessed was the Janie Seddon, one of the two submarine minelaying ships brought to New Zealand Aotearoa from England in the year 1903. The ship was used as an examination ship in World War Two, and Talleys then purchased the craft in the year 1936.
The Talleys Seafood Division harvests most marketable seafood species. Species caught by Talleys includes Scallops, Orange Roughy, Greenshell Mussels, Albacore Tuna and more. As for the Talleys Nelson Deep Sea Division, the main species that are caught are Squid, Flounder, Red Cod, Hoki and more.
As a strong advocate for New Zealand Aotearoa goods, Talleys is the only vegetable brand, at the time of Nov ’11, that is one hundred percent grown in New Zealand, with the entire Talleys vege selection grown and processed in rural New Zealand.
